The Abridged Version...

We both grew up in Halifax County, had enjoyable careers elsewhere for 18+ years and moved back home to be near our respective families.

We first met in 2001.  With Margaret's award winning culinary skills and  Barbara's marketing background, we wanted to offer the rural county of 37,000 an upscale restaurant.

 

After a feasibility study, finding the perfect location -- near 3 major highways, hotels, industry the soon-to-come Prizery and in a wonderful historic downtown building, we opened in March of 2003.

After 14+ years and some wonderful reviews, Chef Margaret received the best one yet: In January 2014, she has honored as one of the best chefs in America!

We have appreciated all the love and support over the years and look forward to serving you for many more.
